Whisper-transcriber

Whisper is an openAI open source project, Whisper Transcriber aka Whisper GUI was created to make using Whisper easier and faster. This app can transcribe audio and video files. The transcription is not always 100%. It runs the AI locally and files never leave your computer.

We're trying to get a Dreamcast and a new PC, anything donated to this app will go to that and the further development.

Download the install instructions for macOS, Gatekeeper might block the install. 

This app will download dependencie, be patient, the install may take a bit after first launch and use of certain Transcription Models.

The .zip contains troubleshooting for installing on macOS due to Gatekeeper. All dependencies should install on first run of the app. Have python3 installed and the app should install openAi and FFmpeg. This app falls under the MIT, OPEN AI, FFMPEG licenses. You can install the Whisper app yourself from github but the GUI in this app here is our own creation.

The app has 4 models in it Tiny, Base, Small, Medium. We've tested Tiny and Base on mac m4 silicon 15.77 version and win10 with 2gb graphic card.
